Still practicing sketches of women with large bows with a charcoal pencil. Inspired by vintage photos on Pinterest. Also, a page of crows in flight practice for a journal page!
The birds are actually a practice for one of Ivy Newport's free classes in her Twelve Days of Creativity in the days leading up to Christmas. I was only interested in two of the classes this year, thank goodness! This one and an acrylic abstract landscape. This actual journal page will have vintage paper with writing and a black crow or raven done in charcoal and India ink with water spritzed on to cause the ink to drip and run from the wing tips. I forgot the actual teacher's name, but her finished page was beautiful. Of course, she knew what she was doing!
I got my blog posts for last year put together to print and got it ordered yesterday. Blog2Print should get it to me by January 24. Can't wait!
I'm somewhat stumped by the first question from Storyform, or I can't get into the right head space to write, I guess. Pondering on it still. Also pondering on whether I want to share what I write and send in my blog posts here.
So much going on in my head!
So far, so good! A sketch a day so far! Hoping I can keep it up...
