100 Days of Stitch Meditations 2025- #93-100/100- Last ones!!!

I did it! 100 stitch meditations in 100 days! Doing the happy dance. I stitched the last one June 2, but I'm behind in posting, because I started doing the Sketchbook Revival Binge Fest 2025, which was free for two weeks, and I've been busy getting in all the free classes I could before it ends.

Anyway, here is the last batch for a while! Taking a bit of a break...

#93-Recycled fabric and lace, charm, perle cotton thread

#94-newspaper print cotton scrap, text scrap from old blouse, lace from my old top, perle cotton thread

#95-Text cotton base, a piece of my grandmother's drawn work from an old favorite pillowcase, red and feather scraps, red cotton crochet thread

#96-Recycled scraps from other projects, words on cotton fabric, embroidery from a curtain I got in a basket at a flea market, perle cotton thread

#97-Pansy fabric from one of my old blouses, scraps from other projects, perle cotton thread

#98-Recycled scrap from a wedding gown I got for five dollars at Goodwill, lace from my old blouse, scrap from another project, perle cotton thread

#99-Scraps from other projects, text print from my old blouse, angel charm, which says, "angels watching over me", perle cotton thread

#100-Recycled scraps, trim from my stash, elephant charms, perle cotton thread

And here they are! All 100 stacked neatly together! I wish I had room to spread them out like a quilt, because they look so pretty side by side in my photo file.

I'm so proud of myself, because I usually get sidetracked by a new project, or I get bored, in the middle of a project and stop on it, intending to go back and finish it some other time. But this time I didn't. I completed 100 days of sketching and stitching challenges so far this year. I may not be able to afford a blog book for this year, because I already have soooo many pictures and posts!

So now I'm going to focus on art classes for a while and let the stitch meditations rest, but after I take a break I want to work more, and possibly finish, the three fabric books and fabric roll I started a while back.

All of the stitching, sketching, and posting are taking a toll on the tear in my rotator cuff and my eyes unfortunately, so I need to let them rest and do something else for a while, like some cleaning. I sit way too much and it's affecting my health, so I need to move around a lot more than I do. Wish me luck. Everything I enjoy doing is sitting down.

Take care and I hope to see you next post! Create something new!

100 Days of Stitch Meditations-#80-84/100

Part of this week's stitch meditations #80-84/100. The other two haven't been scanned yet. I don't know how my days get by so fast and I get so little done!

#80-scraps from my mom's unfinished project, lace from a bed dust ruffle found at Goodwill, and perle cotton thread

#81-scraps from various projects and perle cotton thread

#82-scraps from projects, my red blouse, a piece of cotton that I learned a new stitch on, and perle cotton thread

#82-tea dyed cotton base, scraps from other projects, a button, and perle cotton thread

#84-scraps from my pink and green lace blouses, text fabric, a base scrap from another project, perle cotton thread

Saturday I dug in my scrap box and found more scraps and cut enough 4" x 4" bases to finish this challenge, then yesterday, Sunday, before company arrived I put a couple of pieces together and stitched yesterday's meditation, plus one pinned together for today, which I have not done yet. But I will! 15 more to go! As much as I love doing these little stitched pieces, I am beginning to need a break from doing one every day.

I am beginning to prep for the Sketchbook Revival Binge Fest that I signed up for too. It starts the 27th! See sidebar, or previous post, for link.

Still doing my physical therapy for my back/hip at least three times a week, per the bone Dr., plus my back and feet massages. So there's that!

So much to do, so little time and energy, but thankful for what I can get done!

100 Days of Stitch Meditations 2025-#75-79/100

I'm behind with my posting again! Too much going on, and the days go by so fast!

Here are #75-79/100 from the last of last week and the weekend...

#75-Three scraps from my old blouses/shirts, a blue bow mixed in with old buttons, perle cotton thread-I like how the buttonholes look like little eyes!

#76-Three colors of the same fabric from my mom's stash where she had cut out squares for a quilt, or something, and didn't get to complete it, an old button, perle cotton thread

#77-Four pieces of fabric from one of mama's projects that I inherited and perle cotton thread

#78-Scraps from two of my old shirts, my old paisley pajama pants, and perle cotton thread

#79-Scraps from two of my old shirts, my grandmother's drawn work from a worn out pillowcase that I saved, and perle cotton thread

I also have three more done from this week, but they're not scanned yet, and I have to get into my scrap box again before I can stitch today's, so they will get into the next post. Only 19 more to go! I won't stop at the end of the challenge though. I may not do one every day, but I enjoy it too much to completely quit.

That's it for this post! See ya in the next one, I hope! Keep making stuff that feeds your soul!

100 Days of Stitch Meditations-#69-74/100

#69-pink and turquoise scraps from two of my old blouses, scrap from an old favorite sheet, perle cotton threads-Kind of reminded me of a little dog shape, so I gave it a face!

#70- red scrap from my old blouse, yellow scrap from who knows where, The buttons on the red are actually a soft yellow and the red has a darker pattern in it. I just couldn't get them to show up. :( The drawn thread piece is from a worn out set of pillowcases that my grandmother gave me probably sixty years ago. The pillowcases were worn out years ago, but I saved the ends with her thread work. Love it and miss her! :) perle cotton thread

#68-Base is a scrap from another project, black scrap from my old shirt, hand made bead from newspaper text cotton, copper angel charm that says, "Angels Watching Over Me", gold perle cotton thread

I stitched another one for yesterday, but didn't have it when I scanned these, so it will be in the next post. Before I can stitch todays I have to get into my scrap box and put one together. Fun stuff!

Only 31 more to go! I love it! But right now I have to do my physical therapy exercises. We've missed the last two days, due to company and a death in hubby's family. I try not to miss over two days at a time, because I can tell a difference, plus hubby says it helps his shoulder and back too. The hardest part is getting up and down off the floor! We're old...

Have a great weekend! Try something new creatively!

100 Days of Stitch Meditations-#57,58,59,60/100

Trying to keep up two 100 day challenges and get them posted is not easy, but I've managed! I just finished the sketching challenge, by the way, and I'm over half way through this one! Yay, me! I'm proud of myself for sticking with them this far! I usually get bored half way through a project and move on to something else. Maybe my next challenge should be 100 days of finishing a project already started! 😀

Anyway, here are #57-60 for this week! I finished yesterday's after I scanned these into the computer, so it will be in the next batch, and I have today's pinned and ready to stitch...

#57-eggshell colored cotton base from an old shirt, faux suede scrap from one of hubby's old shirts, a scrap from an Asian inspired cloth, a gold mesh ribbon with the wire removed, a copper angel charm, which says "Angels watching over me", perle cotton thread

#58-gray cotton base from hubby's old pajamas, gold patterned strip also from his old pajamas (he was in the hospital for several days), an orange-red rayon strip from my old blouse, and a feather from a cotton fat quarter, perle cotton thread-blue dash on red is a stray thread clipping that managed to find its way onto the scanner bed!

#59-blue striped cotton base from an old exercise shirt purchased from Richard Simmons many moons ago (his program worked for me!), a piece of cheese cloth that escaped the rusting process, a vintage piece of thick lace from an expensive high quality bed skirt with very wide cotton lace that I found at Goodwill for $5.00 and have used in many cloth projects, a mini gingham cotton scrap from hubby's old shirt, a butterfly cut from a scrap of a fat quarter piece, red buttons cut off something old, perle cotton thread

#60-cotton scrap base, cotton scrap strip, tiny scrap of Asian inspired fabric, a vintage applique daisy left over from my garment factory days in the seventies (the center was brown, but I fixed it), piece of navy ribbon from a box of brand new wedding invitations, thank you cards, ribbons, etc., also found at Goodwill for $5.00 (the theme was navy and cream and I felt bad for the couple, but it was great for me and my paper crafting!), perle cotton thread-I love the purple, turquoise, and navy together!

That's it, so far, this week, except for the one I did yesterday! Now I'm going to finish my cup of coffee and play with the new Posca paint pens, Artista gold paint pens, tiny scissors, and 3 sizes of painters tape.

I have two larger wooden disc bases coming to fix my two cage dolls, because one is all disassembled because her skirt strips didn't stay stuck, and both of their bases are too small as they are. Hopefully the larger size will work better. Either way, I can't enjoy her all apart in a cookie tin!

Have a great weekend y'all!
