More sketchbook play with India ink in a water brush pen, white and black gel pens, and Kuratake pan watercolors on mixed media paper. I didn't gesso these pages either, so the ink and watercolors absorbed into the paper pretty quickly. The first two photos are just sketches/studies, mostly experimenting with the ink brush pen, which works very well.  No water sprayed on! The bottom photo is a sketch and page blot that I shared a couple of posts ago, where I sprayed water on the ink,  but I've gone back and added some black and white gel pen marks to them, just for fun. Made a difference!
Next time I plan to try the ink play on pages that have been gessoed and we'll see what happens!
