After a few short sessions, this stitch meditation seems to think it's done! Another memory from our road trip in September. Memories from the Southwest.
I used scraps from three different colors of batik fat quarter cotton, blue, orange, yellow, a well worn label from a much used fleece throw, and DMC embroidery thread. There is no backing to add body, and I didn't use a hoop. I just let the needle and thread do their thing, and this is how it turned out. I love this process! The end piece may not always be wonderful, but I love the process and the journey!
The previous thirteen stitch meditations became pictures for a dozen calendars that I had printed to give as gifts for Christmas. I used the templates with scriptures for half of them and inspirational sayings for the other half. I've done this for the last couple of years with photos of art that I've created, but I haven't done that much art this year, so I used my intuitive thread work. Hope the recipients like it!
