9th Stitch Meditation-Rust Transfer-Blue Windows

My ninth mindful stitch session, actually a couple of sessions, because I'm slow, using another torn piece of cotton fabric that I hand dyed with rusty objects and DMC embroidery thread.

It is about 2 1/2" x 2 3/4". I ironed a pellon backing on it all the way to the edges, which left it too neat and straight, so I peeled the pellon away from the edges and cut it off, so that the fabric would frazzle as I worked on it. I love me some frazzles!

I actually ironed the craft pellon onto the backs of several pieces of fabric bases to give them a little body, but then hated the straight tidy edges, so I've peeled the pellon back from the edges of all of them so that they can frazzle for me. I don't particularly care for the pellon, but since I bought a whole roll of it, I will use it. Only next time, I will cut it a little smaller than the fabric to leave frazzle room!

I kind of wish I had used a little darker thread on the vertical stitches that would have shown up better, but it is what it is, and I'm happy with it!

It reminds me of an adobe apartment building with no admittance, yet!

Another fun piece to add to my stack, and I've started number ten, using a gelli printed teabag. Let's see how it turns out. Shall we?
