Finished my fifth stitch meditation this morning! I started it yesterday and finished in two short sessions. I LOVE freehand intuitive stitching with no rules and no patterns, where wonkiness and imperfection are a good thing! Kind of a Wabi-Sabi thing! 😊
I used a blue felt backing, which is showing through, but happens to work with the color scheme, an old cloth diaper, scraps of a texted fabric and a scrap off the back of one of my shirts that had flowers and text, a peach fabric sliver, buttons from a trashed shirt, and embroidery thread, and let the stitches go where they wanted to. I love the frazzled edges! In fact, I'm pretty happy with the whole piece, and it was so relaxing!
Now that I've re-familiarized myself with the basic stitches, I'm anxious to work on the pages of the three fabric books that I have constructed, also wonky and imperfect! All I have to do is locate them in one of the boxes amid the chaos that I'm calling de-cluttering. It's a constant scavenger hunting adventure right now!
Trying to keep my creative juices flowing! Hope yours are flowing abundantly too!
