This is the first pull off a 6" x 6" gelli plate print that I did over the weekend, using open media acrylics in multiple layers on Speedball printmaking paper. I added some tree highlights and the house with a cotton swab dipped in paint and the windows and door were made with a wooden skewer stick with paint.
The second pull with too much white paint added. It is still a work in progress. Not liking the white "veil" over the sky too much.
Busy few days trying to do some housecleaning, which takes me forever anymore, so these two were all I attempted over the weekend.
Gelli printing is soooooo addictive! The more I learn about printmaking, the more I love it, and want to make more. Now I need to decide what I'm going to do with the stacks that I've accumulated! That's a good problem to have though! :)
Do something that makes you happy and feeds your soul this week. You'll be glad you did! <3
