Sketchbook Revival 2025-Post 2 Classworks (4)

The next four classes I chose to try in Sketchbook Revival. I've been very busy!

On June 1 I chose "Playing With Animal Characters" with Nina Rycroft. She taught me a way to draw dogs that I hadn't tried before. It helped me a lot, and can also be applied to other animals, which I haven't tried yet. But I will! I sketched these from Nina's reference sheet of dog breeds.

On June 2 I chose "Sketching Seahorses" with Christine Elder and, using her reference, sketched the little fellow below in pencil. I love seahorses!

On May 30 I chose "Whimsical Buildings" with Tamara Laporte and worked on it a bit for the next four days in mixed media. Again, I strayed from the lesson some, and the page and paper was not really suitable for this type of painting in mixed media. I still lack some of the details, and I want to do another one on larger better paper soon. I like this one though!

Also, on June 2, I chose "Sketching our Intuition" with Angela Fehr in watercolors. Loved it! I wish the metallic gold showed up more. It's much prettier in reality. I think I like it almost as much upside down!

That's the first seven classes I've taken so far, all very enjoyable and fun, and I will do them again!

My soul is dancing with all the art inspiration in the Facebook group. Love it!
