This Weeks Doodles n Sketches

In an effort to keep doing a sketch every day this week I have been sketching one or two squiggly girls every day, plus some flowers. Fun stuff! I never know who's going to pop out of my head!

Yesterday, after sketching my squiggly girl, I also did a sketch, inspired by artist Helen Wells, with my India ink filled water brush pen and my Zig Writer pen. Then I practiced textures over it with a water filled brush pen and Kuretake watercolors. It's unique, but I kind of like it!

That's the fun part of art to me; learning new things and the process of the doing. It keeps me interested and playing!

That's why I signed up for this year's Sketchbook Revival Binge Fest! See sidebar or previous post for link. So much more to learn and try!

I started this morning by watching a few videos to prep for the classes. I watched two on making your own journals, one on setting an intention, and one on clearing your space mentally to work. I have made some journals before, but it's been a while, so now I'm excited to make a new one, or two. I'll show you what I come up with!

I have yet to do todays stitch meditation or sketch, but I have a meditation pinned together, and something I want to sketch. Hubby went to the mailbox this morning and brought me back a large flower from the neighbor's magnolia tree across the road. So beautiful, and it smells so good! The whole house has the fragrance wafting through it. They change so fast that I made photos while it was still fresh (I couldn't sketch it right then), and saved them to my computer to sketch when I have time. Hopefully, that will be after supper!

I made several photos from different angles, so I have a variety to sketch from! We'll see what I come up with!

That's it for now! See ya next post! Take care and try something new, or challenge yourself by stepping outside your comfort zone with your creativity!
