Three random quick sketches in my sketchbook during the last week! The first one is charcoal pencil and the others are mechanical pencil. The first two are from photos, and the last one is from a paused scene on TV. I didn't leave room for her fur hood in the one on the left, so I sketched another one smaller. The one on the left actually favored the girl some!
I don't usually try for a likeness, trying instead for placement and proportions, but sometimes I do get a similar likeness accidentally, which is a bonus!
I still can't get my photo editing to save my drawings with a white background. Grrrrrr! I don't know if the problem is in the software, my camera, or my lighting, but I have got to figure out something better than what I'm doing. I haven't worried about it too much, because I don't try to sell my stuff right now, but I might decide to sometime. Anyway, I would like them to look better even if it's just for sharing with you all!
