Some more doodles in my small mixed-media sketchbook, using Kuretake watercolors, mechanical pencil, Stablio pencil, gel pens, pastel and colored pencils, and a zig marker.
I think some of my problem with distortion is because I'm holding my sketchbook in my hand or lap in my recliner, which doesn't let me see the page straight on, thus objects at the bottom of the page tend to be larger in proportion than the top. I don't worry about it, because I sketch to relax and for fun, and who can relax if they're worrying about it being perfect? I'm going to try some straight on though and see if it makes a difference!
The flowers may get some more work, as I put so many layers on them, they look flat and kind of muddy, or they may remain as a lesson in what not to do? Anyway, they were all fun and relaxing, and each on taught me something as they evolved on the page! So it's all good!
