So, my muse has gone missing over the last few weeks, hence no blog posts either. No creative endeavors, except for a few stitches on a stitch meditation a couple of nights ago. I've thought about projects, and wanted to, but just haven't been able to get myself to do anything, even cleaning. Too much going on in the world, I guess.
Anyway, yesterday I received an email from Jeanne Oliver generously allowing access to one of her complete $62.00 courses for FREE until midnight tonight 3/20/20. The way I understand it, you have until midnight to enroll for free, but you can take your time on the course. It's a mixed media course called Wandering Muse, and includes lessons on sculpting a clay head, making a book with plaster, ink sketching, stamp carving portraits, contour drawing and other sketching techniques, etc.
I haven't signed up for any classes at all in over a year, so I signed up for this one, hoping it will jump start my muse. Looking over the course content and videos, it looks amazing, and I'm anxious to get started. In fact, I watched a couple of the short videos last night! Now to actually try the techniques!
I have taken several courses from Jeanne's site previously, some from her and some from other teachers. I learned so much from all of them, and there are several that I still have my eye on to take at some point.
Thinking some of you might be interested! http://jeanneoliver.com The coupon code to get it for free is across the top of the page! Enjoy! I know I'm going to!
Olga Furman is also offering a free daily challenge and project during the quarantine! Go here to her home page and click on her blog to see the first few! https://olgafurmanart.com/home/
