Days 11, 13, 14 & 18 Sketches

Well, as you can tell, I fell off the daily sketch bandwagon this week and missed four days, but I did get a few done. All in my sketchbook with my Zig Writer marker.

This one is a loose sketch of a cage doll that I made a couple of years ago.

Loose sketches of our chair done one day and the lamp the next. The lamp is actually a stained glass table lamp given to me by my mom, but I thought the chair needed something to balance it on the page and lengthened the base somewhat.

Yesterday evening I sat in front of the china cabinet in my dining room/studio and tried sketching cups and stacked dishes, which I have never been interested in sketching, therefore, I've only tried a couple of times before. Not real bad, considering my eyesight and shaky hand. The glass door with woodwork was also closed, and I couldn't get to it to open it right then. The dishes, except for the one cup from a set of dishes my mom gifted me, are from a set of china that I bought before I was married. They are close to sixty years old and have been used less than a half dozen times. We are not "china dish"  people. :)

I didn't like the top half of the page being so vacant, so I saw a yellow resin pear nearby and sketched it bigger than life behind the dishes. I like it! :)

Today I am working on a neurographic art page. My eyes needed a rest after a while, so I lack about a fourth of the page having it finished. Maybe tonight. We have company on the way right now.

We also have blistery cold weather on the way tonight and for the next few days, so we'll be busy trying to stay warm. So thankful for a warm dry house! Hoping we don't have to go anywhere or have any frozen pipes...

Prayers for us all in these challenging times!

Thanks for visiting! Let's go create something pretty! :)
