Last Art for 2022!

After about three weeks of absolutely nothing creative going on, not even sketching, because, you know, Christmas preparations, a deep freeze with snow during Christmas, a burst water pipe (so thankful it wasn't under the floor!) and a couple of days of de-stressing, I finally got my focus together enough to do a couple of quick sketches in my mixed media sketchbook.

I found some fascinating vintage photos of women with huge bows in their hair on Pinterest, which I did sketches of today, Friday. A little rusty from missing my daily sketches, but I'm ok with them. Not trying for a resemblance, but trying for different head tilts, hair, expressions, etc. Fun stuff!

I would have done more, but I'm having eye problems, and my eyes went wonky on me, so I had to stop for today.

When I look back over the year, I'm amazed at the amount of learning and fun I actually accomplished. I am tickled with how much creative output I can fill this year's printed blog book with!

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE EVERYONE! Have a safe and happy celebration if you're going out! We plan on being warm and comfy in our recliners quietly together watching television, as we do every year. Thankful to have made it through another year!
