So, Jeanne Oliver (https://jeanneoliver.com/ )has continued her 50% off sale through the weekend on all of her courses! My muse is still on hiatus, and I have resisted signing up for new classes of any kind for 2-3 years, except for a free class on plaster half wit bowls during the winter. I have resisted, because I have stacks of unfinished journals, paintings, classes, etc., and a couple of courses I had bought and forgot about, such as, Studying With the Masters-Portraits/Self Portraits, which I didn't even remember buying. I found it on my courses list a few weeks back!
I have been feeding my creative well by looking at group art, watching videos, and doing the occasional sketch or stitch, but I am in need of motivation, so I gave in today and bought two courses and downloaded two free classes.
One of the courses, Storytellers and Mavericks, with Jeanne Oliver, has been calling to me for a long time, so I finally gave in today. It's a mixed medial journaling course, including making the journal. The other course is Santos Cage Dolls 2 with Jennifer Rizzo. I haven't taken the first course, I like the cage dolls and thought I'd give it a try. She says you don't have to have taken the first course to take the second. We'll see!
I also got two free classes, one by Pam Carricker, Face Mapping, and one with Jeanne Oliver, Reflections of Me. These are single classes to give a taste of what the whole course, which is available, is like. I watched the video for Reflections of Me, which is a mixed media journal page, this afternoon, and really enjoyed it. It made me want to dive right in, but couldn't. Soon though, I hope! It also made me want to check out the rest of the course, so I may, at some point, do that.
Fingers crossed! I won't quit trying!
