Stitch Meditation in the form of fabric beads, was a couple of sessions this week while we had repairman outside installing a new central unit, because our old one was 28 years old and running on a wing and a prayer. The heat part quit years ago. The internet tech was also here trying to figure out why our internet was out again. Turned out that a little modem in the outside box needed replacing.
I needed something, besides a pill, to calm my nerves. Stitching/sketching is good for that!
I didn't have anything put together to stitch on, so I tore some strips, rolled them onto a bamboo skewer, and stitched away! I got a couple of them a little longer than I meant to, but they will still work on meditation pieces or fabric book works in progress, so it's all good. I think I prefer the size of the purple/blue one, but I guess it depends on where they will be used.
I was going to try wrapping some wire and beads around the beads, but the wire I have wouldn't work for me, so I'll have to order some. I'll show you when I get them wrapped! In the meantime, I have torn more strips and will be making more!
LOVE making things, even if they aren't perfect! I guess one could call them wabi sabi, and I love wabi sabi!
