Weaving a New Scarf...I Think!

I have a scarf warped and started using Red Heart Homespun acrylic/rayon variegated yarn. I LOVE the softness, texture, and colors, but I made a mistake using it to warp my loom. VERY difficult to weave, and I'm now trying to decide whether to continue as it is or cut it loose, re-warp it with cotton thread, and start over, weaving the weft with this yarn. 

Also, I'm wondering about how the tassels are going to turn out. Look how soft and unraveled the tail at the bottom of the picture is. :/

Or I could just take a new art class. I'm beginning to have painting withdrawals...
