I made these two last week and am just now getting around to posting them here. I think I forgot to mention on the first one I shared in the previous post that I used a thin felt for a backing on these pieces. It's what I had handy, but I read about others using pelon or flannel, so I'm going to try those, as well, to see if they work better. I'm anxious to try different threads too.
This one is #2 and is about 2"x 2" square, cotton fabric scraps, and embroidery thread, freehand stitching. Such fun, just letting the stitches land where they wanted to!
This one is #3 and is about 4" x 4" square, embroidery thread, freehand, with cotton fabric scraps, except the two flowers in the upper left corner, which I cut from a wire ribbon, minus the wire. They have some gold metallic on them, which doesn't show up in the photo. This one was really fun!
I am not setting a time limit to finish one in one meditation sitting. I finished these in about three different sittings. Not pushing myself to finish. Just enjoying the process in a mindful way!
I haven't worked on a piece in a few days now, because, life things, but yesterday I sat in the middle of my bed with scraps strewn about me and tore (because I like frayed edges) pieces of fabric to size and tentatively pinned together five new ones to stitch. They may, or may not, stay as I've pinned them. I also did an oval mini gelli plate print on a square of white diaper cloth and one on a used teabag to stitch, because I've seen some awesome ones done online, and I just want to see if I can.
Meanwhile, our house is still in shambles, as I slowly continue to try to de-clutter and re-organize to make it more accessible for the two old people who live here. 😀

What fabric did you use for the cat?
Hi! It's just a cotton fabric with black and white cats printed on it that was in a stack of fat quarter fabrics that I bought at Walmart a few years ago. :)
Do you have an extra cut you would like to sell?
I’ve looked everywhere for it but can’t find it. I’m slow stitching on an old Jean jacket and I’d love to add it.
Just the 2 cats fussies. Thanks
I'm sorry, I don't think I do. I bought it years ago and it was only about 10 x 10" to start with. I used it on several pieces, but I will try to remember to look and see if there's a tiny piece left and let you know if there is. :)
I would really appreciate that . Thank you so much for looking.❤️
If you find a piece. You can mail it to me. Timi Pace
